Katie has called Piazza Dance Company home for twenty years. From being a tiny ‘tapperina’ to competing nationally, she enters her seventh year as an instructor.

She took a temporary dancing hiatus to obtain a BA in Sign Language Interpreting from Madonna University as well as a BS & teaching certificate in Elementary Education.

But she is still a dancer at heart as she had a dancing appearance in James Franco’s Oz the Great and Powerful and completed two international music videos. In 2012 she founded 4th Wall Theatre Company, an after-school theatre program for children with special needs.

Her love of educating children and dance is perfectly combined at Piazza, where she can empower, motivate, and pass on the love of dance.
